1. Who we are

Jalo is a service operated by Jalo Tech S.A.S. ("Jalo", "we", "us") from Mexico. These Terms of use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the jalocompany.tech website, the Jalo mobile app and any related features (together, the "Services").

2. Accepting these terms

By accessing or using the Services you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

We may update these Terms when the Services or the law change. We'll publish the current version on this page with its update date and, if the change is significant, we'll let you know through a reasonable channel. Continuing to use Jalo after a change means you accept the new version.

3. Who can use Jalo

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If you are a minor under the laws of your country, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who also agrees to these Terms.

If you create an account, the information you give us must be accurate and up to date. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens with it; let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. How the service works

Jalo helps you find ideas, put plans together and invite your friends. Some features, like the plan builder on the website, work without signing up: the invitation is created in your browser and you decide who to share it with.

The places, events and activities we show are suggestions. We don't organize, sell or guarantee those plans, and we are not responsible for what happens during them. Check opening hours, prices, accessibility and conditions directly with each venue.

Some features may be in beta. They may change, break or stop being available while we improve them.

5. House rules

Jalo is about having a good time with your people. When using the Services you agree not to:

  • Post or share content that is illegal, violent, discriminatory, harassing or that violates other people's privacy.
  • Impersonate someone else or create fake or automated accounts.
  • Send spam, unsolicited advertising or mass invitations to people who don't know you.
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the systems, accounts or data of Jalo or other users.
  • Copy, scrape, modify or reverse engineer the Services.
  • Use Jalo for any purpose that breaks the law or these Terms.

If you break these rules we may remove content, limit features or suspend your account, with or without prior notice, depending on how serious the case is.

6. Your content

What you post on Jalo (plans, photos, comments and so on) remains yours. So we can display it and run the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, reproduce, adapt and display it within Jalo, solely for that purpose and for as long as your content remains on the Services.

You are responsible for the content you share and you confirm you have the rights needed to share it.

7. Intellectual property

The Jalo brand, logo, design, copy, illustrations, software and other elements of the Services belong to Jalo Tech S.A.S. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't transfer any rights in them to you, other than the right to use the Services as described here.

8. Third-party services and links

The Services may include links to or integrations with third-party sites and apps (for example maps, messaging or booking apps). We don't control those services and are not responsible for their content or practices; their use is governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Limitation of liability

We do our best to keep Jalo working well, but the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee they will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that third-party information will be accurate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Jalo will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Services, nor for the conduct of other users or third parties. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights granted to you by Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Law or any other law that cannot be waived.

10. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Jalo whenever you want and, if you have an account, request its deletion from the app or by writing to us. We may suspend or end access to the Services if you break these Terms or if we must do so for legal or security reasons.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be settled before the competent courts of Mexico City, unless applicable law gives you the right to go to the courts where you live. Before filing any claim, we invite you to write to us so we can try to sort it out in good faith.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, write to us at [email protected].
